How does the calculator determine arrival time?+
It adds your total travel duration to your departure time, then adjusts for any time zone difference between origin and destination to give the correct local arrival time.
Why is the arrival time different from what I expected?+
The most common reason is a time zone crossing: adding 5 hours of flight time to a 14:00 departure does not always mean a 19:00 arrival if the destination is in a different time zone.
Does the calculator account for daylight saving time?+
It accounts for the fixed time zone offset entered; if a daylight saving transition occurs during your travel window, you should use the correct offset for that specific date.
What if my trip crosses the International Date Line?+
Crossing the Date Line can add or subtract a full calendar day even though elapsed flight time is unchanged. The calculator handles this by working with full date-time values rather than just clock times.
Can I use this for connecting flights?+
Yes, calculate the arrival time of the first leg, then use it as the new departure time for the next leg, adding that segment's duration and any layover time.
