FAQ

Why does the growth speed up over time?+

Each year's interest also earns interest, so the yearly gain grows with the balance. The last ten years add more than the first ten.

Does compounding frequency matter much?+

A little: monthly compounding beats annual compounding by a fraction of a point a year. The rate and the time matter far more.
