What inputs are needed?+
Length, width, and height of each package (in centimeters or meters), plus the number of identical packages if you're shipping more than one.
How is CBM calculated?+
Multiply length × width × height (converting to meters first if needed) to get the volume of one unit, then multiply by the quantity of units to get total shipment CBM.
Why do freight quotes ask for CBM instead of just weight?+
Ocean and air freight pricing is often based on volume as well as weight because space aboard a vessel or aircraft is a limited, real cost — a shipment that's bulky but light still occupies valuable cargo space.
What's a common mistake when calculating CBM?+
