Game math relationship
Formula
total = frame time + display + peripheral + network= 20.244444444444
Note
This is a simplified model: it applies the standard probability or game-math formula to the numbers you entered. Real games add pity systems, drop-rate tiers, rounding, server-side variance and balance patches, so treat the result as an estimate rather than a guarantee.

What components make up total input lag?+
Total input lag typically sums peripheral latency (mouse or controller polling time), the game engine's processing and frame time, and display latency (panel response time plus any processing delay in the monitor itself) into one end-to-end figure.
Why does frame rate affect input lag even though they measure different things?+
A higher frame rate means the game produces a new frame more frequently, which shortens the average wait between your input and the next frame that can reflect it, so frame time (derived from FPS) is a direct contributor to overall input lag, not a separate consideration.
How much does display type affect input lag?+
Panel technology and any post-processing the display applies can add anywhere from near-zero to over 20ms of additional latency, so two monitors with identical refresh rates can have noticeably different real input lag depending on their internal processing.
Does V-Sync or other frame-syncing technology increase input lag?+
Traditional V-Sync can add noticeable input lag by buffering frames to prevent screen tearing, while adaptive sync technologies (like G-Sync or FreeSync) generally avoid that penalty, so factor in which syncing method you're using when totaling input lag.
Why might my measured input lag differ from the calculated estimate?+
The calculation sums typical or spec-sheet values for each component, but actual measured lag can vary due to specific game engine behavior, background processes, USB polling irregularities, or wireless peripheral latency not captured in the base estimate.
