Game math relationship
Formula
EHP = HP ÷ (1 − DR)= 4166.6666666667
Note
This is a simplified model: it applies the standard probability or game-math formula to the numbers you entered. Real games add pity systems, drop-rate tiers, rounding, server-side variance and balance patches, so treat the result as an estimate rather than a guarantee.

What is effective health and how does it differ from raw HP?+
Effective health is your raw hit points adjusted for damage reduction — it represents how much actual incoming damage you can absorb before dying, which can be significantly higher than raw HP once armor or resistance is factored in.
How is effective health calculated from HP and damage reduction?+
The standard formula is HP divided by (1 minus damage reduction as a decimal); 1000 HP with 50% damage reduction gives an effective health of 2000, since each point of incoming damage effectively only removes half a point of your health pool.
Why does damage reduction have diminishing returns at high percentages?+
Because effective health scales as 1/(1−reduction), each additional percentage point of reduction adds more effective health than the last near 100%, which actually means high reduction values are extremely powerful — the trap is assuming reduction scales linearly, when it doesn't.
Does stacking multiple damage reduction sources work multiplicatively or additively?+
This depends on the specific game's rules — some multiply reduction sources together (two 25% reductions become roughly 44% combined, not 50%), while others add them directly; check the game's mechanics before combining reduction sources in this calculation.
How do effective health calculations differ against physical versus magical damage?+
If a game has separate armor and magic resistance stats, effective health must be calculated separately for each damage type, since a character can have very different effective health values against a physical attacker than against a magic-based one.
