Is the 'multiply by 0.6' shortcut accurate enough for road trips?+
It's close but slightly low — 0.6 undercounts by about 3%, so 100 km becomes 60 miles instead of the correct 62.1. For a quick mental estimate it's fine, but for fuel, pace or distance planning use the precise result.
Why do my car's odometer and this calculator disagree slightly?+
