How it is computed

K = °C + 273.15 and °F = °C × 9/5 + 32. A kelvin is the same size as a Celsius degree; only the zero point moves to absolute zero.

FAQ

Why is there no degree sign on kelvin?+

The kelvin is an absolute SI unit, so it is written 300 K, not 300 °K.

Can a temperature in kelvin be negative?+

No. 0 K is absolute zero, the lowest possible temperature.
